Big Shanty Festival April 19 & 20, 2008 Kennesaw, GA. The 32nd Annual Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival
will be held in downtown Kennesaw on April 19 & 20. The festival features over 200 arts and crafts booths, 20 food
booths, and 20 general booth spaces, and admission is FREE. The festival attracts over 50,000 people from all around North
Georgia. There are two entertainment stages, all types of children's activities, and plenty of festival foods. The Big
Shanty Festival will begin with a parade through downtown Kennesaw at 9:30 on Saturday morning, April 19th. The show is all
outdoors and each 12' x 12' space will cost $100.00. There are limited spaces available with electricity. The show
hours are 10 AM - 6 PM on Saturday and 12 Noon - 5 PM on Sunday. Also make plans to visit the Southern Museum of Civil War
and Locomotive History home of "The General" famous Civil War locomotive. The Kennesaw/Big Shanty Festival is one
of the largest festivals in North Georgia.
